I have to walk across Edinburgh to a job. The sun is shining, it's a beautiful city and I'm in a very happy mood. I feel like skipping to work but I'm afraid of being given strange looks. Advice please!

I love, I LOVE people who dare to smile for personal reasons not caring for strange looks, who show their happiness, people singing while driving, whistling while walking. I only wish I could see you skipping in this happy mood.
I wish you are always in this mood and keep showing it as often as you can. You might influence somebody else who feels the same but is shy enough to show it.

Well Nev, the sun is shining, spring has sprung and I feel like skipping too. edinburgh is such a beautiful city, lets NOT go back to work and hold hands and skip off up Calton Hill for the afternoon, where we can make daisy chains and watch the doggers!

No of course I wouldn't look at you funny if you skipped , I do it all the time as well as hopping or walking on my hand , just make sure you take your teeth out first , now that gets you a few strange looks if you ask some one to pass them back to you , don't know why, miserable gits.

I think I would laugh my butt off seeing a random person skipping to work or where ever --once in a while people are just bieng goofy with friends and skip, but skipping instead of walking is kinda strange -- but you know what -- if your enjoying yourself go for it.

I miss doing silly things like that. My friends and I used to link arms and skip across campus in college. It seemed to brighten up everyone else's day, to judge from the grins we got. Be happy. Share the lovely day, and skip away.

go 4 it l do it all the time but my 12 yr old daughter tells my to stop because she says she's embarrassed but i think it funny kids got no sense of humour happy skipping

Why should you worry what others think? Skip as much as you want, the others mostly likely admire your energy & envious of your being so happy & they are not.
