You just need to burn more than you eat. So if you want to lose weight, and cannot do more exercise, work out how much you burn each day and eat fewer calories than that.

If you try 1000 calories a day to begin with (it is pointless starting with any less, you will be so hungry that you will give up, do it gradually) This 1000 can be used to `buy` any food you like. so choose food with good food values, minerals, vitamins etc. find out their calorific values, and decide which foods you want to`buy` each day for your 1000. As a snack, chew something like celery, because you will use more calories chewing it, than there are calories in it, so that is a `freebie`!
After a while reduce your intake by 25 cals. per day until you get to about 600.but don`t go any lower. You can `chop and change `the variety of food you have to eat, using this method.

Hi, you can join weight watchers I did and alot of people there had a disability which they cannnot excercise but still lost weght counting points andgoing for weigh ins. To be honest when I was on weight watchers I lost a stone in 3 months and I didnt excercise once but it was brilliant as when I did excercise I never lost anything. Its worth a go. If you go onto there website you will beable to type your post code in and it will tell you where the nearest meetings to you are.

But if you dont want to go to weight watchers then you can always cut down your portion size. to do this you eat off a smaller plate and try not to snack. If you feel like a snack drink water unitl you have you next meal or eat fruit. Its similar to weight watchers but on weight watchers you can eat what you want when you want as long as you count your points.

12,000 calories would be like eating 4 big Macs, 4 large fries, 4 shakes and 4 apple pies a day and 3 cakes with a few calories left over. That might be too much.

Also, you can't really loose weight. It was never tight. You can lose it, though.

I think a woman is suppose to stay around 2200 calories a day. I think it also depends on what you are eating. Junk foods adding up to that amount surly are not going to help. Lots of fruit, veggies and water.

you need to burn more calories than what you take in. So in your case, the fewer the calories you eat, the better..Not saying to starve yourself..but lots of fruits and veggies and water will help too.

1200, not 12000. Stay under 1500 a day and you should lose weight.
