Both the issues r not inter related. U can make a lot of friends where u stay by being an extrovert but u should be sincere to the pals u make. U can go places by making friends thro various net sites & forums, and go & meet them. You could also join a travel group in ur locality & see places with them ( that way you'll be making friends, travelling & seeing places as well).

Well, depending on your age, you could go to different places with people and introduce yourself to others. Ask your current friends to bring one of their friends with them out to dinner or something. All of you could end up hanging out together!
