Yesterday was the first time I ever answered that question, out loud, though it's been bouncing around in my skull for at least forty years. My wife was the lucky one to hear it. She didn't like it, but after talking about it for an hour or so, she realized she actually would have to give the same answer.

My children, the 3 that still live with Mom and Dad, claim that thier answer is the same as mine, which doesn't surprise me at all.

My wife's initial response, of mortification, taught me that I have to approach the subject from another direction. Most of those called my family and friends, I believe, will respond the same appalled way as my wife, if I put it to them in the manner that I subjected my wife to (that is if I ever tell anyone else. (O: From now on, I have to open with this disclaimer: Although what I'm going to say is the one thing I know is true, my suspicions are that there are many, many truths.

The same as Rene Descartes said, "I think, therefore I am." That I know for a fact that I exist because I am looking out through my own eyes. Now if 'being john malcovich' was true I could prove he exists as well.

There is only one truth, God is love, He made us and gave us a law, that we broke, the penilty for breaking the law is death, but sense He loved us, He willingly died for us, He took our punishment, and He rose from the grave, and now if we repent of our sins and trust in Him, we can be saved from sin and death.

... That god is imaginary and that this life is the ONLY one we have. So it's best to live well for the sake of ourselves and not to appease some imaginary sky-pixie.
