Of course yes ! Aero eng undergrads are pretty strong in maths and computational methods (CFD/Applied Maths) and I know few people who have made such switch and are fairly successful. In fact if you look around, you will find few faculties in US of Physics dept from aero background. Remember, many of the physics faculties do very applied research with multidisciplinary group. So, you have a good chance if you do well ! Good luck !

I'm nearly certain you can take physics at a graduate level, however with an aerospace engineering background it may be harder to get in to, and you will certainly have a very high learning curve.
If I were you, I would talk to some of your professors, and get their opinion on this particular matter.
