One of the things that we are told to do is renew our minds. When you make the decision to live for Christ and no longer for your flesh, what happens is a gradual change in some an immediate change in others. I know that Jesus is the healer and mental disorders are spoken of in the bible and removed by a word from the Lord. There is nothing to hard for God and honestly I would rather be in a relationship with someone who promises to never leave or forsake you and one who is not a liar than something that causes ill feelings toward myself or others. If this is what you truly want there is really no need to post it God has all of the answers all you have to do is ask of Him Submit unto Him and Love Him completely. I'll be praying for you.

Accepting Jesus and having a relationship with god will cure you of the "mental" part.....making the whole "disorder" part redundant.... unless you count not having a brain as a "disorder".

As I read in a book about the lives of saints ,and perhaps can be understood from the Bible..if you read word by word..from the begining...what we call today ''mental disorder''..it was in the past troubles from demons....

But because the reason has to fight against the demon...I think that we cannot accept God.....being forced..or with arguments...no one accepts..the simple thing to do is ..believe..God is Our Heavenly Father..and Jesus His eternal Son..as He has asked..Anyway..no one else..asked us to believe in Him..if we want to reach heaven ..and live forever..except Jesus Christ ,Son of God..

No, that alone isn't a cure. But if you ask God for healing and stand on that, meaning by faith, yes, without a doubt you can be healed.
God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. He loves us and wants us to have abundant life.

EDIT: of course religion isn't the cure, people. Jesus is! And God's awesome word.

It certainly can be, but not always. The majority of patients in mental hospitals suffer from guilt. Having your sins forgiven by God is certainly a cure for that. If it did not cure you it certainly would help with a new perspective on life and hope for the future and eternity.

No. It creates a WHOLE lot of new ones that usually distract from the original ones.
Funny thing...the "cured" don't have any idea that is what happens. The problems are never "fixed", the individual just changes their focus and the "big" issue isn't so big after all.

Well, I love Jesus' teachings but I'm not christian. I do believe in God. I have been mental for six years! Seriously though, I do suffer from almost crippling depression quite often and other things.

Yes. Mental disorders are demonic my friend. The Lord would show the person what needs to be done.

Sometimes deliverance is necessary.
