Please, for the love of God, I don't want to be stuck in the US translating Chinese- English my whole life!! And I know that if I work for the US government that is exactly what will happen. There has to be someone out there from China hiring English speakers who are familiar with Chinese culture and language...... anyone know who??? Honestly, I think I should have stayed in China instead of coming back to the US for my Master's degree... Thanks in advance for your response.....

Did you try multinational corporation? I think a market screening company would be very interested to hire someone who had a master degree in Chinese studies as many company flocking to China to open a factory. Good luck, I hope all working out.

depends what you want to do, i'm sure you're aware of the many teaching opportunities in china.

or with a years saving here and fluent chinese and some connections you could open almost anything you want in china, from a school to a legal service or imports and exports.

or save a little and take a trip to job hunt, you can certainly get 'a job' but you sound like you want a rewarding carreer.

I will suggest you to apply through CUCAS, CUCAS is a professional online platform for international students to apply for Chinese universities, it has a strong relationship with over 300 universities in China. They do not ask for any fee, the application fee is collect by them but only on behalf of the university, CUCAS also hold social activities for international students so they will not get bored, they always try to think as a foreigner and help international students to solve their problems. Very nice.
