i am new here and i hope you guys can help me.
i am 5"4 and 140 pounds..
i am deciding to lose weight by stretching and warming up every morning, run for 2 hours, and stretch and do yoga at home, exercise and stretch before i go to sleep. could i lose weight without getting bulky muscles on the arms and legs with this workout if i stick to it? i already have enough muscles so i havent ran and am scared to start.
i have also turned vegetarian and said NO to sodas and snacking. thank you ;)

Hello there...

by looking at your nickname i think you are female... if so, you need not worry about big muscles. Females do not have enough testosterone to build big muscles and they would rather just tone up nicely.

If you are male, by reading the type of exercise that you choose to loose weight, i can not see bulky muscles being built anyway...yoga and stretching is ideal for this. Running is a good cardiovascular workout if done in moderation. I would not start off doing 2 hours though - begin with like 20 minutes and build up from there. Heavy weight training and body building is what develops the big muscles. :-)

You''ll do fine. I am a vegetarian too and have a hard body. It's a myth that you can get enough protein if you're a vegetarian. You'll get a lot of that in your answers I'll bet.
\Anyway, I follow Gary Nulls diet sorta most of the time. I eat several meals a day to keep my metabolism up and work out like crazy. Since I work out the Russian way, Pavel Tsatsouline... I build strength without bulky muscles. I'm 42 and can run two miles in 12:30. I suggest going to http://www.runnersworld.com and join the beginners forum. They always have good advice.

WIth Yoga and running you are going to get slighty toned.

I would try measuring your arms and legs on a Monday then exercise all week and on Sunday measure again. You should not be gaining that much muscle if you dont do weights.

Besides even if you do gain a little muscle it is not that bad, rather have that than saggy skin.

Why are you so afraid of becoming muscular? Don't you know that guys love girls with muscle? Muscle is what gives your body shape and curves. Without muscle you would be just skin and bones. You should by trying hard to build muscle, or do you want to look like those anorexic models? That's disgusting. I love athletic, fit, muscular girls.

Don't worry, female hormones prevent women from gaining bulky muscles unless they ingest steroids.
