Looks to me like he just wanted to reform Judaism. And now look at all the chaos and death that has resulted from not realizing that.

Yes, he did.

"And so I tell you. Peter; you are a rock, and on this rock foundation I will build my church, and not even death will ever be able to overcome it. I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of heaven; what you prohibit on earth will be prohibited in heaven and what you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven." - Matthew 16,18-20

Peace and everyy blessing!

Leaders have always been invented in history. Some where ordinary people, who got to fame by accident. Some where totally different, then history reports them today. Some where pure fiction like Jesus. It could be, that Judaism was looking for a new direction, a more modern and worldly approach to attract the masses and Christianity was invented. There is no question, that Judaism wasn't very popular then ether and the Jews are very smart, resource full people. Maybe there is a point to your question. At least you think, which most people don't.

I can honestly say that I don't know, but I believe that the greatest lesson the AWSOME Jesus tried to convey was simply PEACE and you are right in saying that the chaos that has resulted is not the fault of any particular religion but some people who don't realize what , one way or the other he was trying to teach. peace

I don't think Jesus was a selfish person. He had no selfish intention. He did sense there was a god but that is very likely to happen to more people in those days. It is how religion was used later on that causes the chaos.

No. He already had followers before he arrived. Through the prophets, God was able to give specific information about Jesus' birth. So, they had long been anticipating his birth and were eager to follow him.

He showed us how to apply God's law in our lives despite living in a corrupt world; love our neighbor; carry out the ministry; and worship God in an acceptable way.

There is/was chaos only because men think they know better than God's son.

He didn't want to do anything to Judaism. Jesus was an orthodox Jew from the West Bank, and he told his Jewish followers to keep the law and listen to the learned rabbis.

Christianity came much later.

Here's WHAT Jesus taught:

Create a private, personal, direct, divine Relationship with Our Creator and save your Soul from religion.

Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truly Free!

Without God, there is No Love; Without religion, there are No Wars!

Will you DO what Jesus wanted you to do???

Those who lean unto there own understanding of scripture are leading others astray and blinded by their "pride!" But this has to occur for the Kingdom of God is coming to this earth and establish His way as the only way.

Pride is man's downfall. The End of the circle of man's self rule will be the beginning of Christ's Kingdom but that "pride" must be broken first!

BECOMING the Chief Corner Stone -

Jesus (a Hebrew above all Hebrews) was to BECOME "the head stone of the corner" (Ps.118:22 below), "the chief corner stone" (Eph.2:20, Deut.32:4 below), of His living body, the church of God (1 Cor.10:32, Col.1:24 below).

It was at Jesus' baptism that Jesus BECAME "the head stone of the corner", "the chief corner stone" of the church of God. From that point Jesus began His ministry.

All who are in Jesus Christ have BECOME a “new creature” (2 Cor.5:17, Gal.6:15 below); we, in Him, have become individually, as well as collectively, His living body, the church of God.

There is neither Jew nor Greek (Gentile) in Christ Jesus, we are all one (Gal.3:28 below).

Ps.118:22 The stone (Jesus) which the builders refused IS BECOME the head stone of the corner (Eph.2:20 below).

Eph.2:20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone (Ps.118:22 above):

Deut.32:4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

1 Cor.10:32 Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God.

Col.1:24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the church:

2 Cor.5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he IS a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (Gal.6:15 below).

Gal.6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature (2 Cor.5:17 above).

Gal.3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Jesus' teachings have not caused suffering. He taught us to love one another. To love everyone. To be peaceful and understanding and to help others find love and peace. Most people don't get his teachings. And many people, especially big christian religions don't teach the important things Jesus gave us. They teach if we believe in Jesus and take him as our savior everything is ok. That is not what Jesus taught.

Jesus (from all the historical accounts, not the bible) was JEWISH. He was proud to be jewish. He (the person) would be disgusted by the way his simple ideas have been perverted for the benefit of a few and the deaths of many.

Jesus claiming to be the "son of god", to me, was because he believed we were ALL the sons of god, not that he was the LITERAL son of god.
