Why does it seem like it is just a problem to everyone else besides me and my boyfriend, that we are in love. we are young we are still in high school but we love each other and we are planning to be together for a long time. People make such a big deal that we like each other so much, it's not like we are having sex cause we are not.I am tired of all these people trying to break us up and not liking that we are together. What should i do it is stressing me out? Like we were'nt meant to be. Why do people gotta act like that?

People act like that because you let it get to you.

Why do you care what people think?

Sorry, hun, welcome to the real world.

I, for one, don't care what people think because they aren't the ones dating my boyfriend.

Because most adults know that what you and your bf are experiencing is not love. Your in high school. Teenagers are known to be fickle. Right now your world is one small high school campus. That's going to change when you go to college (if you go to college, I hope you do). Your going to experience new things and believe it or not your personality will change. You'll grow into a woman who will be defined for more that what your wearing or how popular you are. If after all this you and your bf want to be together more power to you, but don't let your formative years chain you down from experiencing new things.

They're being protective, and trying to make sure that you do truly know what you're doing and what you're feeling. A great many teenage "true love" stories end with "and after all those years I realized that I'd never truly let myself know anyone else, never explored any options, so I really didn't know what I was choosing."

That's what they want -- you to be able to explore and learn more about other people, and therefore yourself. To have experience with the world and various ways of forming and ending relationships... All that stuff.

If, however, you can manage to do all of that with your current boyfriend... more power to you. But I warn you, it's hard to mature emotionally with only a single sounding board.

Maybe cause you guys are young and should be focusing on something else than each other. Make a balance between the relationship and school, never forget that school is always very important.
