Muslims should give their children names with a good meaning (mine means blessed).

They don't have to be arabic, but traditional names are often arabic and usually have good meanings which is why they are used often.

Mohamed (pbuh) tells us to pick the best names for our sons and daughters, and there is preference like names which magnify the god and the names which start with "Abdul" (for male) like Abdul Allah , Abdul aziz, Abdul rahman ...etc . which means the slave of god , the slave of the most merciful and such .
otherwise you can pick any respectful name :)
they all great and lovely names to me .
