It is not a scientific theory, because there is no evidence to support it. It cannot be fully tested scientifically. It is just a new version of an old and outmoded myth. Intelligent design is a newer version that tries to add some bad science and pseudoscience to the tired old myth, so that it can be taught as science in public schools. Hebrew myths should have no priority over Sumerian, Greek, Egyptian, Babylonian, etc. by the First Amendment, and myths do not belong in Science classes. That would only diminish knowledge of science in the USA, and we have already fallen too far behind many other nations. I think the USA and Turkey have some of the highest precentages of people who do not believe the fact of Evolution. That is alarming to anyone who favors progress.

Not a theory, no. Also, there are not enough observational data to support creationism for it to be considered a hypothesis. I think the correct terminology along these lines is 'proposition'.
VW: I would say that most things work so well because the things that don't work so well have been replaced by more evolved versions that work better. There's no intelligent design here, just survival of the fittest.

No, it's a religious belief.
"Theory" implies substantiated fact. There's none of that with Christian creationism.

It is not a theory.
It is mythology. Theories have to do with science.
Mythology has to do with fairy-tales and imagination.
Therein lies the most important distinction.

Creationism is how primitive cultures explained where we came from before science explained it.

No it is absolute truth, God made us, He loves us, He gave us a law, we broke it, the penlity is death, God died for us, He rose again from the dead, and He is waiting for the day when He will return to judge the world, which side will you be on, His or satan's, it is your choice, choose now, law or love.

Of course it is, it can't be proven, it needs to be believed by faith. The same as evolution or any other theory of how we came into existance. Hebrews 11 says, "By faith we believe that the worlds were created by the word of God...."
