The following is a simple, cheap, guaranteed solution that my Dentist suggested 40 years ago and it always works.

Mouthwash and brush your teeth with Hydrogen Peroxide. Do this three or four times a day since you are in pain. The pain will be relieved in just a few minutes. Normally I just use it twice a day.

If you do not have it, it is at the drug store usually next to the rubbing alcohol. Is is about $1.00 a quart. Do it promptly the pain will be better and the gums will heal very quickly.

Good Luck.

You need to see a dentist. All the things mentioned above will work temporarily, but will not cure your problem. It sounds as if you have an infection and need something done to get rid of it.
You don't want an infection to go let untreated b/c it will start to travel throughout the body and can cause some serious damage to your heart and other organs. This is especially true if you already have complications, such as heart disease or diabetes.
If you don't have a dentist, I'm sure there are plenty in the phone book that will take new patients. Don't wait too long.

I had really bad gum pain about a year ago and my dentist told me to buy Corsodyl which is a mouthwash you can buy in Boots and most pharmacies. It's specifically for gum pain and you use it up to 3 times a day, it works really well. Also you could take ibuprofen in addition as it is anti-inflammatory and will help.

You may try using clove oil to stop the pain. It is a natural pain reliever and can be found at Walgreen. You will have to ask the pharmacist for it. May you find relief quickly.

If you can get the antibiotics that is the best thing for it or you are going to be in some bad pain--also try swishing with salt in warm water and listerine.

Apply some clove oil, then take a couple of paracetamol. By the time the clove oil wears off, the pills will have kicked in.
