Depends a lot on what size and age your house is, but a ballpark figure for a loft conversion done to building regs is about 20K minimum!

Paid 20K four years ago for a two bedroomed dormer conversion. Price varies as to what you want. My only advice would be use a specialist fitter - the entire process took only four weeks of build and with minimal fuss once the necessary planning permission had gone through. Apex lofts. Also I honestly wished I had it done when I first thought of it ten years ago - it makes such a difference to the dynamics of your house and family -

Probably £10K upwards. Get a builder round to have a look first. Not all lofts are suitable for conversion because of the way the roof is constructed.

Your searching at round £ 18,000 for only a small complication-free conversion, so as that £1500 could get you a drawing executed and some fixings. do not issue even with the reality that purely £16,500 to go. i'm a builder.

depends on the size... and what kind of conversion you want to get done, whether you want professionals to do it, or whether there are things that you could do yourself, and it also depends where you live..
