The best way is to not really consider yourself on a diet. Just reduce your calorie intake. Stop drinking calories. Eat a normal meal at night. For lunch have 1 lean pocket or a salad. That's a salad without cheese, bacon bites, ect. Just lettuce, carrots and light dressing. For breakfast drink a breakfast shake or eat fruit or yogurt.
You won't loose much unless you start adding cardio to your plan. You need to start out doing 30 minutes of cardio 3 days a week. You need to work your way up to doing 45-60 minutes of cardio 5-6 days a week.
You will see results doing this. I usually loose about 2-3 lbs a week sticking to this plan.

I've been trying to lose weight for years. I've tried many different diets and at one point I stopped eating all together. I've joined and quit several gyms in my area and now, the worst part of it is I weigh more then ever!
I'm starting to think that the diets aren't the answer for me.
I'm making a lifestyle change where I simply cut down on all of the fatty foods. I'm trying to make healthy decisions when it comes to each meal time and if I want a snack, I'll grab some fruit. All of the diets around are just for other people to make money out of dieters. There is no need to pay out to lose weight. Make little changes like using wholemeal bread instead of white, eat low fat alternatives of everything (watch calorie content) and stay away from soft drinks.
Add some exercise into your day, start off light and gradually build your way up to doing more. Walking is great for anyone not keen on exercise and just half an hour a day will make a huge difference.
You can have all the information in the world but it comes down to motivation, you won't loose a pound without it.
A good site for motivation is www.sparkpeople.com and also try www.youtube.com, they have a group called gut2cut which is full of videos made by people on a healthy eating plan.
Also, I'm in the same position as you so if you want to email me, we can be weight loss buddies.
Good luck, I know you can do this.

I'm on the diabetic diet, and it seems to be working. I've kept on it for 2 months, and I've lost 10 1/2 pounds so far. What helps is the fact that I seem to be eating all the time. You're basically eating what's on the food pyramid, but you spread it out over the course of the day in 3 small meals plus three snacks. It keeps your blood sugar from spiking, and keeps your metabolism going all the time, rather than thinking it needs to conserve energy and slow down.
My dietician recommended the following diet for me:
Breakfast: 2 carbohydrate servings (15 carbs each--about 1/2 cup of cereal or 1 slice of bread), 1 fruit (1 piece or about 1/2 cup of juice), and 1 cup of milk or yogurt.
Mid-morning snack: 1 fruit
Lunch: 2 carbohydrates, 3 oz of meat (about the size of a deck of cards), 2 vegetables (each 1/2 cup of cooked or 1 cup fresh), and 1 fat (6 grams--about 1 pat of butter or 1 tablespoon of salad dressing
Mid-afternoon snack: 1 fruit, 1 milk
Supper: 2 carbohydrates, 4 oz meat (about the size of the palm of your hand), 2 vegetables, and 2 fats
Bedtime snack: 1 carbohydrate, 1 milk
You'll need a good calorie counter, one that also shows carbohydrates and fats. You can use that and find foods that will help keep you from getting bored with the same old thing. Pretzels, pasta, and Weight Watchers snack cakes have been a Godsend.

I've tried other diets too and I've lost weight but I found out I was allergic to some of the things they contain. Herbal Life does work if you stick to it and exercise as well.. I'm doing it the natural way and it really works. Watch what you eat and exercise. Drink plenty of water. It's best to diet first so u lose some weight then you start the exercising. Stay away from fried foods and carbs. All the best!

Moderation. If you still allow yourself treats, you're less likely to fall off the wagon.
I generally try and eat healthily during the week so at the weekends i can have a takeaway or whatever- but still keep in moderation! Whats the point in binging and feeling sick?
Also, remember that drink is just empty calories- I realised that in my first year of uni i could easily have an extra 2 THOUSAND calories a day from just a couple of bottles of wine!!
But fubdamentally, exercise is still key. Even if you just walk up stairs instead of the lift or walk to nearest corner shop rather than drive. The key is keeping active within daily chores....
Small changes can help but i alwaysfound that visualisation worked wonders for will power: imagining the yellow fat pumped out in liposuction programmes (gogle it, its gross!!)... then, when i wanted chocolate etc, I just pictured it turning yellow and clogging my arteries etc... I also started running and with every step pictured my cellulite being broken down....
Good luck and dont assume that one step back means that its ruined so theres no point... its just one bad day- make tomorrow a better one!

I don't know where you're based but I heard of one called Nutrisystem where they deliver you all the food you need for a month. The principles are portion control and GIycemic Index (which is how fast your body breaks down the energy in different foods). I know Nutrisystem is based in the US. Or you could just try the GI diet, which is more of an eating plan. I like the idea of the Sonoma diet because you get to drink wine!

every diet works if you stick to it but when you loose the weight etc and start eating proper food again the weight comes back, its not a diet you follow its a new way of life as you will have to stick to it forever.

Many common natural remedies are claimed to have blood sugar lowering properties that make them useful for people with or at high risk of diabetes. Learn here https://tr.im/m1P3q
A number of clinical studies have been carried out in recent years that show potential links between herbal therapies and improved blood glucose control, which has led to an increase in people with diabetes using these more 'natural' ingredients to help manage their condition.

The secret is that EVERY DIET WORKS. Read the small print...(you have to exercise as well)
The way to stick with something is to get with someone else, and do your workout/diet together.
