You need to soften the wax first or they wont do the procedure.

Use some warm almond or olive oil twice a day for about a week before the syringing. These oils dont get rid of the wax, but like i said, they soften it, enabeling the nurse to remove it in seconds.

She/he will merely squirt a large syringe full of water into your ear while your head is titlted. Once you put your head up straight, the water will trickle out along with the build up.
It doesnt hurt at all. it just sounds like being under water.

But, like i said, you need to soften the wax first or it will not work.

Ive had to have my ears syringed twice a year now for the past 3 years but they wont do it any more as the risk of damage is high when done so often.Theres nothing to it really.Basically the nurse will spray a heavy gush of water into your ear,you then tip your head to the side and the water runs out along with your wax.It doesnt hurt at all,it just tickles a lot.

Make sure you have used drops of some sort to soften the wax. You must do this everyday for at least 5 days or believe me it will hurt!
The nurse will then put a little bowl under your ear and then she will then use a small utensil a little like the one at the dentist that sucks spit away only it will gush water into your ear and it will feel very odd but shouldn't hurt at all!
I'm a real baby and hate having anything done but even I don't mind this!!

I've had it done a number of times and believe me it's totally painless. It's kinda loud when the water is squirted in, but that's all.

It's nothing to worry about. They just squirt some liquid into your ear, let it swill around then you just tip your head to get the liquid out. Nothing to be scared about ...honestly.
