Eat a meal before drinking.
Drink slowly.
Have lower alcohol drinks.
Ask for more of the mixer to keep your drink going longer or have shandy/spritzers.

There is actually a tablet that has been designed in Russia I think which you can pop between each drink and it will speed up the breakdown of alcohol and also prevent you from having a hangover.
I have no idea if it has been released yet or the name of it. You would have to do some research.
Drinking a glass of water after every alcoholic drink is probably the most effective method though.

Having something to eat before you go out. Sticking to the same drink (ie not mixing drinks like shorts and then lager). They should all help you, but if you still get drunk, I'd suggest eating 2 slices of plain toast and drinking a pint of water before you go to bed to help prevent "the morning after".
PS if you're having shorts, don't have them with "diet" carbonated mixers as the sweeteners in them can cause you to get drunk quicker.

yes just before i go out around town with my mates i always drink at least a pint of milk as it soakes up your booze so it takes a while for the booze to kick in and if that does not work when you start to feel drunk or fresh have a break and drink a soft drink not fizzy as that mixes with your beer try fresh orange then you can go back to your beer. when you get home drink about a pint of water it stops your head from spinning

Take drinks in small measures and drink a soft drink (water or juice) in between alcoholic drinks. You don't say how many drinks you have when you do drink alcohol - if you don't drink much during the year, your body is not used to the sudden intake of alcohol.

Don't drink too much too fast! Take you time and always make sure you've eaten before you do go and drink. Another thing to remember is DON'T mix alcohols. Be aware of your consumption and make sure someone NOT drunk can drive you home! Good luck!!

Drink slower and dilute your alcohol, depending on what your tipple of choice is depends how you will do this. Why do you want to drink more though? My boss sits on 1 beer (yes that is correct -1!) all night when we go out and although I find that hilarious I also think it is a great attribute to have. What self control. Why drink more?
