Do you know any good diets to follow?

The fact you said "Which diet" says it all really.

DONT diet. It is scientifically proven that it does not work. Dont beleive me? Well you said it yourself - which diet? Lets think about it shall we? If a diet worked, why is there so many out there? Why is there a new diet every year? Could it be that they are all bullsh*t, made up for a whole generation of niave, insecure women to sell magazines to?

I wont go fully into it, but when you diet, it more often than not requires dropping a major nutrition source and more often than not starves the system of vital nutrients (usually the "energy" ones). This drops your metabolism to a snails pace, since your body thinks it is being starved. Then, when normal eating resumes (which it almost certainly will) your ultra slow metabolism means it will burn any calories/fat extremely inefficiently, storing it as fat instead. This is your bodies natural defence mechanism against starvation and there is NOTHING you can do to beat it.

So you will end up even BIGGER than what you are now in a matter of weeks after resuming to normal eating habits.

As someone said, if you are that serious about losing weight and getting fit, you need a lifestyle change, not a diet one.

Cut all the crap out of your diet and eat wholemeal foods, lean meats, fruit and veg, healthy dairy products and nuts. This is NOT a diet, this is how you SHOULD eat!

Also, you MUST exercise. And i do not mean going down your gym to just walk on the treadmil or go for a casual spin on the bike. If you want to lose weight, you must push yourself, otherwise forget it. Do weights as well, the more muscle = higher metabolism = even more calories are burnt.

The exercise part is by far the easiest bit. So if you are unsure you can stay committed to that, i would forget about it... It is v difficult to stick with a diet. It is very easy to keep to a lifestyle change. And eating healthy can be even more satisfying than eating fast food crap all of the time - you'll both feel and look better for it.

You can eat bad food occasionally, but make sure it is in tiny quantities and only once a week as a treat. This is not a "lose weight" thing. It is a healthy living thing.

Weight watchers is good. I didn't do the meeting thing but just got some of the cook books. Some really nice recipes and it doesn't feel too much like dieting. It just gets you to think a bit more about what you actually eat and after a while you kind of stick to it without thinking.
any other diet which cuts out entire food groups is a waste of time as you always end up craving the things you can't have.

DIETS DON'T WORK! You should try Paul McKenna's "I Can Make You Thin". It's fanastic. "Diets" work for 10% of people because most of them put the weight back on afterwards. His weightloss programme works for 70% of people because he changes the way you see and think about food. He goes by 4 basic rules -

1 Eat only when you are truly hungry;
2 Eat what you want, not what you think you should have;
3 Eat every mouthful slowly and consciously;
4 Stop when you start to feel full.

It make complete sense. I've been following it now for approx 6 weeks and have lost around 11lbs. I don't feel deprived, I can still eat pizza and chocolate (although i find myself going for more healthy foods now).

TRY IT!! It works. You can buy his book on Amazon for around £6.

The easiest I have tried is the acid-alkaline diet.

Fats are nothing more than stored acid. If you continue to take acidic food, even with exercise you cannot get rid of fats. Therefore you must solve the weight problem at the source : eating acidic food. By taking alkaline food, you prevent the intake of acid to create more fats. Besides doing exercise, you must eat only alkaline food.
Read the book "pH miracle for weight loss". See photos of people losing weight at ease. If you want to loose weight super fast, there is an alkaline liquid diet. According the book, people are loosing 10 pounds or more within the first 8 days. Go to the website below to see which food (and even fruits) that are acidic.

"Diets don't work"!
Well, how does anyone ever lose weight then.
Even if they follow Paul McKenna's book, they will still have to eat less fodd, which is being on a diet.
So of course they work. The problem is how to make them work.

I have a FREE ebook which explains everything you will need to know to lose weight and keep it off

Weight-watchers is the best but i just eat less of the wrong stuff [ chocolates mmmm heaven etc ] i have dropped one size already, just eat less and go for a long walk everyday, no need to pay loads of money to lose weight. It works i promise you , just have your cereal in the morning, lunchtime a sandwich [ brown bread ] with lettuce, cheese [ thinly cut ] and whatever else you want on it within limits of-course. Supper make yourself some lentil soup with loads of veggies in it, it is filling and nice or anything else. If you have rice have a handful or a potato and cut down on cheese-sauces etc. About 9 oclock i always get hungry then i will eat a orange or two rich tea biscuits. Good luck and i wish you well.:)))

I`m not so sure diets don`t work. I mean, the word itself: "diet" comes from Latin, it`s actually "diaeta" and means "way of living", and from the Greek root word, “diaita,” meaning a “to live one`s life”.
So, by dieting you choose your way of living. If you choose more easy to follow diet, you will sustain that way of living for longer time.
All I know that the amount of diets out there gives me a headache, so I`ve created a more easy approach to the whole exploration: www.diet-ville.com
