Hello everyone, My name Is Colton Durward Alexander, I am 16 years old. I have recently encounter a serious maybe even fatal health problem. I have always been healthy throughout my whole life, never broke any bones... rarely got sick... and had a normal life. The problem all started about 2 months ago. I am having a serious problem with my digestive system, I may even have an obstruction in my small intestine. I went to the doctor's several times, they ran a series of tests on me... blood tests, stool tests and everything came back normal but I was still having abdominal pain and abnormal stools. The Doctor told me I should get a CT scan done on me, so I did that and they found that my spleen was enlarged and the upper part of my small intestine was thick. I have lost at least 10 pounts in these last 2 months. so now they want to do an upper GI, what ever that is... I'm very scared, I don't know what to do. Please I'm asking you from the bottom of my heart, pray for me. God Bless you.

I could, but I won't. It would be a waste of time. God doesn't exist. Even if he did exist, it wouldn't make sense that a god would hear twenty people more than one. I would doubt he answers prayers based on popularity contests.
One doctor can do more good for you than a billion people praying.
Good luck.

Colton, my youngest son-now 11-had an upper GI test a few years ago because his asthma was causing acid reflux and vomiting. The test was done to see if the vomiting was caused by the asthma, or if the asthma may have been caused by something he had aspirated (inhaled into his lungs).
All the test involves is drinking a chalky substance, and then remaining still while a machine passes over you and scans your body. It's completely painless and non-confining. The entire test will be concluded in under an hour. My son was frightened of this also, and then laughed with relief for worrying so much. You'll do just fine.
Continue seeing your doctor(s), ask questions, follow their advice, and try not to worry. We have a tendency to imagine that the absolute worst will happen, but it very rarely does.
You're young and appear healthy, you've got that in your favor. This is hard for you, but if you stay strong and surround yourself with positive people, you'll get through this much more easily.
When you're feeling alone and frightened, make it a point to talk with a trusted friend, teacher, pastor. Anyone who can provide a few words of comfort and encouragement. Tell them how scared you are, say whatever is on your mind. Sometimes talking about what troubles you-sharing your concerns- is all it takes to give you the courage to go on.
I wish you only the best Colton. Good luck.

We studied Matthew 8 yesterday, where Jesus healed the first person. It was a leper. Leprosy was the worst disease then. After that He healed a paralytic and a woman with fever. He did it because it was His will and because the people had faith in Him. The passage shows, that no disease is too bad or too insignificant for Jesus to heal.
Dear Father in Heaven,
I am praying for Colton who is putting his faith in You and Your healing touch. You are the Great Physician and you know what ails him. You also said, that You know what we need before we ask. If it is your will, then perform a great miracle and heal Colton. Touch His body Lord, and bless him. Be with Him when He goes to the doctors and let them see that You are still working miracles every day. Comfort Colton and remove any pain he has. Give the doctors the wisdom to treat Colton correctly, guide their every thought and move. Be close to Colton and let him feel YOur Spirit within him. Lord, during this time of sorrow and worry, take those things from Colton and place them upon yourself, oh gracious Father. Pour your love out on him and give him strength through all of this. Heavenly Father, we give you the glory and humbly ask for your intervention. Thank You what You have done for Colton and what You are going to do. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Dear boy,
God bless you!
A lot to take at this young age. But lovingly accept the cross sent to you by Our Lord and bear your sufferings bravely and patiently and offer it up to God for the conversion of poor sinners. I will definitely remember you during my daily Rosary and pray that Our Blessed Mother may send you a cure. If possible, and if you are not in too much pain, do try to say the Rosary . If you are not Catholic, you can ask a Catholic friend the right way to say it. Our Lady has effected many cures by the Holy Rosary said daily and faithfully.
The following are the promises of Our Heavenly Mother to those who recite the rosary. I hope they bring you comfort.

Colton, of course I will pray for you. Relax and leave it in God's hands. An upper GI is nothing more that another test the doctors use in trying to determine the cause of your problem. It does involve drinking some chalky stuff that doesn't taste very good. Don't be scared, everything is in God's hands and under control.

Colton, I am happy to keep you in my thoughts, that this will pass, and you will continue to enjoy a healthy life, and also that you will receive help to face this with courage and serenity. Finding out what the problem is is half the battle, now that they know what is wrong, or at least have a better idea, they know what to do about it. I don't think this will be fatal for you, I have a sense of these things sometimes, and I don't sense an end for you, only a challenge at this time. Take care...

Hi Colton I prayed for you with all my heart. I will keep praying and believing for you. I remember once I was so depressed about something in my life. This went on for some time. But I knew that God was aware that I was in trouble and needed his help.
That is what kept me going; the knowledge that he knew I needed help and that he would not let me down.
I waited.
And I kept praying with that same thought THAT HE KNEW I WAS IN TROUBLE AND THAT HE WOULD SHOW UP TO HELP ME and he did show up, and took all the depression away.
God bless you.

Yes I will pray for you. Let me tell you this, when you pray, try to feel as if you are cured already. Ask God, or Jesus, or any entity you know and trust for your health. Say "please make this health problem not be serious" or something like that. After your request, always say "I will accept your decision upon my situation, because I trust it is going to be the best for me."
Honey, sometimes we go through suffering in this life, because we have to learn with those things. Try to close your eyes and ask in your prayers for understanding why and learn from it.
Peace!

Father, May you touch Colton's life, and heal his body in a way that only You can. Thank you for giving him an insight to request prayer and for knowing that miracles start and end with Your will. Let him accept your will, whatever it may be for his life. Give him inner peace so he can confront his illness with courage and strength. I pray for his doctors, give them wisdom on how to treat him in his time of need. Let them be Your hands and Your mercy. Amen.
