My boyfriend has really upset me over something stupid.

He phoned me at 4am the other night and said I sounded really sleepy and he asked me if i wanted to go back to sleep, i said i did. although i would have kept talking to him if he hadn't have suggested it first.

in the days after this he got annoyed, he was like 'i'm not going to call or answer the phone anymore because I'm sick of you just hanging up' i am supposed to be having an operation, and i wanted him to be there for me, but he isn't. i am really upset, not because he doesn't phone, but because he's deliberately doing it. i was crying and i told him i'd been upset and he was like 'well it's your fault'

he can be really loving too. as far as i was concerned the day we talked, i was really happy. we were laughing alot, everything was nice. i dont know what to do, it really did bug me.

He sounds really immature, to be honest with you. Him getting angry over such a trivial matter smacks of childish behaviour. Any sane person would be really sleepy at 4am, and if he had really wanted to have a conversation regarding any serious issue, he could have been straight to the point; or wait till a more earthly time later in the morning. To bear a grudge in this fashion, especially when you're undergoing a trying period, is seriously laughable.

A relationship is a commitment in which both parties tide through both good times and bad as one. If he can't even be there for you, and is not willing to look past any grudge he has against you in your time of need, then he shouldn't be worthy of you at all. Furthermore, adults should resolve such problems in a measured manner, not resort to infantile jibes such as "well it's your fault". Just my two cents' worth.

There may be an underlying issue here. If someone, regardless of who, called me at 4 in the morning I probably wouldn't have even answered the phone.
Ask him to stop being a baby and tell you what's really going on. Get it on the table; especially needing him like you do right now. Good luck.

What a jerk. Who calls someone at 4 am when most folks are asleep. He sounds selfish, immature, and controlling. Unless your planning on having this guys baby, kick him out.Get rid of him. Find someone that cares about you. Good luck.

At 4 a.m. you should be tired and sleeping, thats not a normal time to be calling someone unless of an emergency. You should be annoyed. Tell him to call at normal hours and to grow up.

He is childish and self-centered. He is mad because he's lost your attention. Do yourself a favor and get rid of this guy. He needs someone who will adore him 100% and not care what time of day he calls. Is this the kind of person you want to be?
