That theory does have merit when you consider that the Cornwall could have blown the Iranians out of the water.

No, this is a conspiracy question by those who dislike the government and want the Islamic extremists to win.

The real reason is Iran went out of its way to kidnap those sailors to force Britain so that Iran could force Britain and its people to act the way Iran wanted.

No, I don't think so. I think the whole situation in the middle east would be a lot better, if everyone concerned on the allied side, were just to pull out and let them clean up their own mess. It seems odd to me that people who believe so profoundly in the Koran, and practising the Muslim faith, can go around shooting and blowing up each other so indiscriminately and cowardly, as well as their own places of worship, how ignorant can one be, and is this not hypocritical.

Probably not. The Iranians are insane and probably don't even know what their own territorial waters are.

It always amazes me people that would blame the US or UK over Iran. US and UK are democratic societies, Iran is an illegitimate fascist regime.

Impropable, not impossible. The logistics of this question would require Iranian cooperation, which is unlikely.
Do you really trust the Iranian govt/ military more than the US/ UK's?

No; but I predicted the day it happened someone would blame those governments trying to accuse them of a "reichstag fire" type of incident.

Another conspiracy theory for the masses eh?

No - is the easy and correct answer.

We won't go to war over 15 marines and sailors.

Not everything is a conspiracy.

Dude, put down the crack pipe - get into the real world. There doesn't have to be some bizarre conspiracy for everything that happens.

Yeah, so now, Briton can declare war on Iran, and we can help them out...

Or, maybe Iran, did it because they really want a war...
