Water is the best, but green tea has EGCG and is now becoming recognized as a diet drink (not a "miracle" diet drink, though). It supposedly can aid in boosting your metabolism. You may want to check out just how much green tea you would need to drink to get the effects of the EGCG and also the best way to prepare it before trying it.

Water, drink plenty of it. Drink more of it than any other drink, at least 3 pints a day. But it will only help with the weight loss process if you also control your eating.

Well, unfortunately boring water. But to make it interesting, try adding crushed ice with Crystal Light iced tea which comes in different flavors. Put it in a tall colored glass with a straw :)

there is nothing that will actually HELP you lose weight.

Water however, has no calories, and is required for the metabolism and excretion of fat wastes as you are losing weight.

so drink plenty.
