Most parrots live 20-80 years but some have been known to live up to 100+ years with proper care & diet. The bigger the birds the longer it can live. The small birds live up to 20 years, sometimes more but not very much more.

120 is for a tortoise I think. But parrots can live to 60-80 years. Not all parrots are long lived, but the larger ones are. Parrots can also become very distraught when their mate dies, when my former girlfriend's granddad died, his amazon parrot was totally upset and died two months later. It depends if the parrot can bond with another parrot, or human. My uncle had a African grey who is very friendly and had had a previous owner and was 40 when my uncle got him.

In the wild parrots have an extremely long life but in captivity it tends to shorten. In the wild they can live 70-100 years+ but when caged their lifespan shortens by as much as 50 years. Why? One reason is diet, they lack a lot of what they would feed on naturally. In addition, humans tend to feed their birds table foods which are high in fats, salts, sugars and in some cases chemicals. If you have a parrot and you want it to live the longest life it can in captivity be sure to feed it organic food and stay with a healthy diet of pellets, fruits, veggies, beans, sprouts, nuts and grains.

It is according to what type of parrot you have. I have a gray and they live to be about 95 and get as smart as a 6 year old child. GREAT PETS

some of the big macaws may live this long but it would be very unusual.
Greys or amazons may live 60 or 70 years and small parrots such as conures and ringnecks can live 30 years.
I breed all sorts for my pet store.
