I'm having pimple-like bumps on my pubic area days after shaving. I'm going to see my boyfriend in several months, and it's awful seeing those marks down there!

The bumps are normal, they're just skin irritation. As far as after-shave lotion, it has never helped me. It is a pretty normal occurance, and if you shave the day you're going to see him, I'm sure he will understand. It's not like you have a disease or anything. Anyway, another good alternative is a wax. Sounds scary, but it's closer and you won't get the red bumpies.

Moisteriser would be the best bet. The shaving will irritate the skin. The moisteriser should sort this out.

In your quesion you refer to 'after-shave lotion.' If you mean actual after-shave, for God's sake no. It will hurt like hell.

It may burn but you can do it. Use a depilatory cream next time.
