Evergreen, coniferous trees such as Spruce and Pine dominate the Taiga forests making them the most numerous trees on the planet. Conditions are too harsh for other species to compete allowing them to develop vast monocultures covering most of the land upto the Arctic Circle.

wordwide pine as there are so many veriaties, every contry i have been to grows pine in one form or another.I live in Luxor egypt now and I have a lebanon tree right outside my window
not a date palm. Palm as there are so many types must be the second most common,

Probably a pine in truth though. What species of pine I'd have no idea. But there are vast forest of pine all across the globe from Siberia to China and Across America, so my guess is the Pine. If Roy Lancaster is reading this can he please confirm with his sage like wisdom.

Plane, Birch or pine. I really do not know and am guessing. I suppose it really depends on the country. I mean in a country like Greece the olive would be the answer, where in a Skandivandian country the pine.

I should imagine either the White Birch - or Pine trees. They use them for manufacturing paper and so grow thousands of plantations of them.

really a hard question. growing of trees depends on the geographical and environmental conditions. depending on these conditions the plants undergo some adoptations, we have xerophytes, hydrophytes and so on. so the plant that occur at poles cannot be seen in non polar regions.
