If you REALLY want to lose weight, no more than 1000 BUT you must make sure that what you DO eat contains all the necessary nutrients - so only do this in consultation with your Doctor ! ! !

Seriously 1,000 is ridiculous. I used to be a personal trainer and you do not want to deprive your body, it will only make it worse. You will either loose the weight and it will come right back after you stop dieting or you will not loose anything. You need to just make healthier life choices, it has to be a lifestyle. Usually the standard to stay the same is 12Xwieght is the amount of calories to maintain
Example: if you weight 135 you would need about 1620 cal to maintain. If you want to loose weight you would do 10X your current weight. so if you weighed 135 it would be 1350 cal per day.

If you follow some simple practices, you should lose weight. Exercise, 3 healthy meals a day, no snacks, no alcohol. If you can cut your calories by 500 per day, you will lose one kilogram every two weeks.
