A former male friend of mine at work is avoiding me. We were close friends b4, but we had joked about hooking up until I got upset with him since I ended up wanting to and felt like he was disrespecting me. I ended up calling him a dog since he has a gf overseas and was talking to me about doing it. Anyway I ended up writing a letter to him apologizing to him and he told me I was too weird to be his friend since I gave him mixed signals. He emailed me telling me I needed therapy and that I should get a bf and some friends. When he emailed me this, I was hurt and had been ignoring him for a month, but I could tell he would look at me and try to make me jealous by talking to other girls. I think he realized he had hurt my feelings since I could tell he looked guilty sometimes. I went up to him and said hi and he said hi. He looked at me like he wanted to talk. But the thing is I'm still hurt by him and I can't look at him since I'm so mad so I just ignore him.

I think you should stick with saying hi. He could try being your friend instead of telling you to get a life. He is insensitive. You may like him, and there's nothing wrong with being friendly and polite with him, but hopefully you'll find more mature people at work or outside of work to develop relationships with. If you make the right decisions in life, I'll bet in a few years he'll be apologizing to you for tempting you to do something you both knew was wrong, and he'll regret ruining the friendship.
