I suffer from IBS as well and although many different choices on how to challange this are out there, I have battled it with natures sources. There are so many different point of views out there, but I believe that it is different for each person. I have been taking a Gastro Bundle from Jigsaw Health and it has done wonders for me. I was directed to this through some others that suffer and it has really helped me. Not sure if this might help, but just passing on something that has made IBS a little more manageable in my life. I hope that your dad finds something that gives him the hope I have.

My mum also has serious problems with IBS, but it seems to be triggered by/due to different things in different people.
Perhaps he could try (if he hasnt already) getting a food intolerance test as it may be something specific he is eating that triggers it. Alternatively, keeping a food diary and cutting certain things out of the diet to see if it has any impact.
I just read Lollipops reply above, who obviously doesn't have and has never met anyone with, IBS.
People with extreme IBS may get to the stage where they cannot leave the house and their diet is severely restricted. When an attack of IBS occurs it can mean pain and discomfort in mild cases, all the way to complete loss of control. Unfortunately when this happens there is nothing to stop it, and if you are not very close to a toilet the result can be extremely embarassing.
Your father needs your support through this. The symptoms associated with IBS can be so embarassing that you would not want to tell anyone about it.

Probiotics and digestive enzymes can help many people. But so can just simply staying away from foods that upset you. (See the link below for a list of common trigger foods.)
Also, have your dad keep a detailed food journal for 10 days and mark his reactions. The tricky part is knowing which food was the culprit. It is counter-intuitive, but in MOST cases sugar, wheat, and dairy will be the cause, not spicy foods like we've been trained to believe. So if he gets a bad reaction eating spicy marinara with pasta, it's actually more likely that the gluten in the pasta is causing him trouble, NOT the spicy marinara.

My wife and I have been having anal sex off and on for over year. Yes, she has said that the color, of bowels change, and she has complained of the runs. However, different simptoms each time. Also, all these people talking about losing the strength of the anus over time because of anal sex. I gues none of you have a bowel movement. Your anus is streched during a bowel movement, and over the life of any person it will be streched with or without you approvel. Anal sex if fine in moderation. I would not advise it everyday, but I would say it can be an something implemented in the bed room just for something else to do.

Although I have no link to post, I do really think that the last post is the best advice! My doctor made me keep a log and it really helped eliminate the wrong foods and marked some foods that elevated the symptoms. The probiotics are a must for me, as well as flax seed. I don't order mine through jigsaw health, but I do take them.

Unfortunately still no cure. Unless we know the exact cause, we can't find a cure. Isaphgol husk can help whether constipation or diarrhea is predominant. Stress should be managed. some medicines also help which only a doctor can prescribe.

get "Digestral "at www.micronutra.com and believe me this is the best answer at this point. There is a lot of infomation about this medicine all over the internet, give it a go.Ibs is very serious because its very difficult to live with and your father is'nt looking for attention he is suffering,so get the medicine a.s.a.p.in the meantime download testimonials and product information to give him something to look forward to, your father needs to get out of the Ibs hell.even if Ibs is stress related "Digestral is better than anything the GP can give you and it will not stop working after a few months ,because it's made as a cure and not just something to help with symptoms.

¿Intestino irritable?
http://intestinoirritable.youtips.info
Con eso deberías ser más que capaz de combatir los síntomas del síndrome del intestino irritable y mejorar mucho tu calidad de vida. A mí me sirvió y espero que a ti también.
Ánimo.

My husband has it. Stress triggers it and makes it worse. He found peppermint oil pills help him. (He gets wicked cramps and diahrrea). I think it is hereditary because his mother has it too.
