I have been told by a male friend that I dress too well and men are too scared to ask me out or get serious because of my looks. I am apparently putting men off as he said as they think I will be high maintinance and hard to keep. I am not, I just want to be happy like the rest of us girls. I get told I look like Angelina J allot. I am very upset by this comment and feel like I have change myself now.

You think you look like AJ? - Maybe it's this sort of Pious view of yourself that puts guys off?
Kinda conceited. I know for a fact guys don't dig that in a girl.
Maybe if you got your head out of your *** thinking you are "too beautiful" for a guy to commit, then you might get a better reaction from guys for being a little more down to earth.
You seem high maintainance probably beacuse you are, You give off this arrogant and self indulgent vibe and guys are scared off by that.
I think you need to check yourself, take your makeup off and wear something casual (Jeans - little T-****) go to a wine bar and you'll be more likely to pick up guys that have long term potential.
If you are dolled up to the nines every time you leave the house - no guy is going to want to deal with that - It's a bit too self absorbed.
My advice to you is get a reality check.

It is true that many men get intimidated by beautiful women
Your happiness has nothing to do with how you look.
Your happiness has to do with your self-confidence.
Many women or men that look plain or are even ugly have much self-confidence and are charming and people love them. And there are many beautiful people that have a poor self-image.
Have confidence in the way you look and develop your own style of dress and makeup and hair. Don't worry so much about what other people say or profess to be fact, If you are confident then men will be more attracted to you.
However, No one wants someone that is depressed upset and always questioning themselves all the time

Don't change youself..there is always a way to get through.....
Talk to men a bit more which shows that you are not too picky/high maintanance...patience is also important.....break the ice when it comes to conversations this will show that you are potentially interested and fun to talk with...make sure to know what a guy wants when he is with you..
You feel happy the way you dress and feel confident, don't stop that...
As a guy I look at someone who can be happy with themselves with the way they dress, mature and honest....

First off all dont change yourself for a guy be yourself you will regret it. If a guy doesnt like you for who you are and try to change you they arent worth having in your life. If your pretty flont it enjoy it there will be a thousand of girls who will give anything to be in your shoes. Dont worry you will find the right guy it just take time

I would take that as a compliment if you look like Angelina Jolie, i find her quite hot, dont change yourself for anybody, i do like plain women, but i also like a wide variey of body types, looks, ect. Just be yourself.

Hey, don't go and change yourself for someone else. You will find a guy that appreciates you for taking care of yourself! There are so many women that don't and it's sad. I too take very good care of myself and love to dress well. Don't drop your standards. x

That may be his opinion, and he's entitled to it, but don't change a thing about yourself because of this comment. The man for you will like you exactly as you are - high maintenance or not.

Men do not prefer to marry plain women, they do prefer to marry women who are true to themselves. And just because men are scared of you because of your looks, doesn't mean there isn't one out there that'll grow the balls to ask you out. Don't change. Men / women are NOT worth it. Stay true to yourself, ALWAYS!!!
