I have 2 photos that had water spilt on them and they have since dried and are firmly stuck together. Is there anyway I can get them apart without damaging them.?

Considering that photographs have spent almost all of their "processing" life in liquids in order to BECOME photos, why don't you just let them soak in a bowl of tepid water until they separate from each other? The most you'll lose is the gloss finish, and if you squeegee them wet down onto a sheet of plate glass you'll even get that back ! ! !

As you can see there are various reccomendations and methods for unsticking photos that are stuck together. However, I would not reccomend the WD-40 treatment, nor the microwave treatment, especially if these are resin based glossy prints. Steaming the photos apart will work but what works better is simply placing the photos in cold distilled water in which a capful of Kodak photo-flo has been added to reduce surface tension. The photos should naturally peel apart. What you want to make sure is that you don't use hot water as the water can cause the thin layer of photo emulsion to peel off. I suggest you consult this website for further instructions, in particular how to go about drying the photos, you want to make sure that the photos dont get moldy.

They're right ... I would put them in a bowl of water. In developing a photo it is constantly submerged in liquid, this won't hurt them at all. If they don't come apart (try getting them apart while they are still under water, i.e. stick your hands in the bowl) leave them in there for a while and try again.

Once they're dry set them apart and use a squeegee to dry them off, then hang them somewhere to dry, clothespins work ok but leave an odd small little water spot. You could hold them in front of a fan until they're dry. That should work well.

It would have been best to have done this when they were still wet. What I would do is to place them into some "photoflo" and hope that they come apart. If you have to, leave them in that for a couple of days. You can buy photoflo at camera stores that have developing supplies.

Don't you have the negative.
You could try steaming. Boil a kettle of water and let the steam blow their way, don't hold close to the steam, you simply want the steam to make it moist a little to pull them apart.
Anoterh one would be to place in a bowl of cold water. When they seperate leave them in a dry place to dry (no towel dry or anything like that)

wash the photos in cold water just let them soak they will just seperate on their own without any interferance and just let them dry again. That is if they were of film, if they were of digital it still should work, but what ever you do dont pull them apart as you will pull the photo off one.

Try this. First freeze them, then 30 seconds in a microwave oven at high. Don't try to hard to pull them apart or leave them in oven for any longer.
