Aller means to go ( to ) and sortir means to go ( away)
Aller au match = Go to the match
Sortir le Stade = Leave the stadium
Basically it is the intention that counts if you have a definite goal or somewhere to go to use aller.
If it is more relevant to leave from a certain point/location
use sortir.

Aller means to go in a very general sense and can also be used for making the future tense, i.e. "je vais faire quelquechose" "I am going to do something".

Sortir means to go out, including going out with someone, or to leave. "Il est sorti de la maison" -- "he went out of the house." "Le train vient de sortir" -- "The train has just left". "Voulez-vous bien sortir avec moi ce soir?" "Would you like to go out with me this evening?"

Aller: means to go, Sortir means to get out...

U can say: (aller à la chambre), which means to go to the room/bedroom. But u can't say go out to the room: (sort à la chambre).

You're welcome
