I have had bad joints for a while - over 10 years anyway and i'm 18 now. First it was my knees - i could make them click/crack. Then i could do that with my elbows and now i can make most joints click/crack. Now its my neck, upper back, lower back, hip/leg joints, knees, ankles, most toes and also wrists and fingers. I take glucosamine tablets and sometimes get other tablets to help the joints. Does anyone know of any foods or possibly excercises or something that could help with them??

Thanks for the info so far. I took cod liver oil tablets once after a meal and my dad said to bite it coz it tasted nice. So I did and i puked up all of my dinner so that kind of put me off them but i might try taking some again. I try not to crack them but if i dont it hurts a bit.

For years I took cod liver oil, then when the joints got worse I moved on to glucosamine.
All I can say is that for what good it all did, if I'd saved the money I spent on it all I'd be a rich man now. Instead, I'm a poor man with two shite hips and even worse knees - and the knees were made worse by the exercise the physios put me on after I'd had one of my hips replaced ! ! !

I have Fibromyalgia which effects the muscles around the joints and have had to put up with pain all my life. I too can make most of my joints crack just by every day movement. Try and drink lots of water and eat healthily, lots of fruit and veg is great. I find the lighter in weight I am the better my joints and muscles are. I also exercise regularly but listen to my joints and when they ache, I slow down a bit or have a couple of days rest. Cod Liver Oil is good for joints so try those. Good luck.

After retiring from a job that kept me on my feet all day I got arthritis in my left knee it was so bad that I considered going abroad for a operation as it was too expensive here and NHS was about a 3 year wait. I tried a course of 'Glucosamine Sulphate' it is a natural product and not a chemical preparation,
It is in capsule form and has to be taken for about six weeks before any improvement in noticed. My arthritis has not bothered me since, to me it was almost a miracle cure, or was I just lucky ? Persevere with capsules and the best of luck I know what you are going through.
I also take one halibut oil Capulet every day they are tiny and easy to take.

Omega 3 oils are supposed to be good. I have the same thing and I tried glucosamine and it did nothing. I exercise a lot and this helps the joints to stay more supple. I find that resting makes them ache more.

Take calcium, vitamin D and cod liver oil supplements. Go to a physio to get him to show you safe beneficial exercises to help with your joints.
You also should not keep cracking your joints

HEY, My daughter has arthritis (she is 6) and suffers in the way you describe. Stay away / limit fatty foods ie high fat content as this can cause problems in joints. Also try and keep the joints supple - when in the bath try and move them in circular motions - keep them moving! Try (and I know it sounds eugh) but cod liver oil as this is also good for supple joint control.
Good Luck!

I have hyper flexible joints and used to suffer terribly with joint pan. Mine came to an end when I had a food sensitivity test and discovered that I was reacting to all grains. I no longer have any pain at all.

I used to work for a company called Natures Range, who make a comprehensive formula called 'Jointease' Tablets.
My Job was in customer service, and i had to ring up customers to see how they were. I would say that 90 percent of the people who took them said it had changed their lives.
I think the website is Natures range.com they are based in Jersey.......Good Luck

I have had arthritis since I was 11. You can try anything but will still suffer. Why not www.arc.org.uk ( arthritis research campaign ) may help you gain some advice before taking this further.
