I asked this question on in the movie section but the response is rubbish . for a start his name is Kal El and El is Hebrew for God. He arrives on earth in a star which lands in kansas in the east of the usa. When he leaves Smallville he journeys into an icy wilderness to commune with his father . Lex Luther rhymes with Lucifer in the movie he dwells underground . Clark means cleric a clergyman or pastor Kent is a form of Hebrew Kana it means i have found a son in Greek its Krista its English form being Christ.In the Movie Clark becomes Superman at age 30 the same age Jesus begins his ministry. They can be a great people Kal El if they wish to be . They only lack the light to show the way . For this reason above all , their capacity to do good, I have sent them you my only son. Josh yes Tom Mankiewicz the writer on Superman The Movie admitted it . Also in Smallville is very clear just take Clark shown on the front of season one DVD boxset tied to a scarecrow mast looking heavenwards thee also many episodes with biblical names like Exodus , Prodigal Son etc.Dont Forget Superman Returns which yet again loaded with references as Bryan Singer admittted is on purpose as Superman is based on Christ is a story of a saviour.

That is insane and hilarious, those are extremely good facts. I assume that the creators of Superman intended on most of this, but the reason for doing it is unkown to me. Those relations between the two are uncanny. Good work mate, you have found that the true identity of Superman is Jesus (maybe his second comeing, just not so violent).
