This is just a boyfriend right - not a fiance? Don't do it. I had a friend that converted for a girlfriend and he family disowned him AND it didn't work out so he had no family AND no girl by the end of it.

I am married to a man of a different religion and it's fine. I don't go to his church and he doesn't go to mine but we respect each other's choice and that's all that matters. So - why are you converting? Is the boyfriend pressuring you? Tell him boyfriends don't get that kind of pull - let's see a ring and we'll TALK about conversion. Until then it is a moot point.

Religion is a big and sensitive issue for a family. If you want to convert it is your choice but do not convert religion for your boyfriend. You must be seirous in converting because you will have to practise different values and customs. Do it because you want to and not because of your boyfriend. If you are unsure then do not try to convert. You can still be in a realtionship with your bf regardless of diffirent religion. Think carefully and talk to your parents on where you stand in this issue of religion. If you really want to convert, be open to your parents that you still love them n respect their religion. Good Luck

what religion ? if he is hindu or islam , just make sure he is not a christian , wont work , but christianity based , you really dont need to convert , in the end they basically have the same belief and that is in god , if your christian and other catholic , the only difference is really small things, but the overal belief is in god , so if you feel it is worth it go for it . but remember parents will give there 2 bobs worth , if you can take that , then you'll be fine , just talk together about it as a future situation , and what you both want to do.

I honestly don't understand your so much concern about this trivial issue. I practise Yoga and let me tell you Human nervous system is the origin of all spiruality. Different religions are different expressions from the same nervous system. To put religion as criteria for marriage is absolute BS and ridiculously narrow minded.

Now, we've all heard that God is love and religion has tried to tell us that in different form, message and language. If the God both of you are serving is love then I see no reasons why you both can't love yourselves without religious and parental dictations.
Your parents can say whatever they think or like but your life is yours and your feelings are yours. If you love your boyfriend, then do whatever you think is necessary to love him and get fulfilled. Remember love is the greatest force and law

how do you recognize the guy you spot in avatar or what they are asserting is definitely evidence of what they are? i concept i fell in love with somebody on the information superhighway, so i understand its plausible. besides the shown fact that that's particularly confusing for mixxed faith marriages. and if one is atheist and the different is non secular, that even harder. mixxed religions have been forbidden via God, and because solomon married unusual different halves, women persons of different international locations, he additionally equipped up idols unto those different fake gods. God reported Solomon did evil via doing this. now paul talked abut atheists and believers being married, usually if one will become a convert, paul concluded that if the convert believer loves the spouce the spouce is made clean via the believer. yet that's the exception to the policies and certainty. IMO

If you really love each other, religion has very little effect on both of you. All true religion are in agreement on love, affection, truth, honesty, etc., etc. Why should it be a problem?

All the best!/

You don't have to convert your religion.
Two of my closest reltives/friends have parents who are of different religions.

You need to accept eachothers religions. Don't change something you have faith in....we all can't be the same...
