In Oklahoma City they are probably Mockingbirds. This time of year their hormones are running high and they will sing in the middle of the night, especially if there is a street light nearby or a full moon. A lot of people do find them very annoying when they do this. I don't have any solution as far as making them stop. Nightingales are not found in America.

Some birds, such as nightingales, whipporwills, and owls naturally sing or call in the middle of the night. Other birds may sing or call at night in an area with street lights, or if it is a full moon, because singing is done more intensely at dawn and is triggered by increased light as the sun rises.

In most places this is breeding season so you will be hearing more birds singing.
