You will get the interest charges accrued back through the end date of the last payment all the way through the current date. You have actually been accrueing interest charges since the close of the last payment, but they do not apply them till you pay late, or fail to pay the whole ammount.

The late charge in most cases from 25-50 dollars will apply the minute that you do not pay on time.

Let me say though, if you are making some kind of minimum payment on a card then you are in big trouble. You are probably spending more than you have. Credit cards are desinged to be helpful to your life. Not a huge money draining inconvenience.

I normally do not give truly helpful advice but I am going to in this case cause I hate to see people in debt. If you have a computer download iTunes and listen to the podcast for the Dave Ramsey show. There are a lot of other relaly good ones but that is a beginner show. He will tell you how to get out and stay out of debt. He is hardcore and will change you life if you listen.

Also, if you have any problems with download or setting up the stuff, then email me.

Call them and tell them you will be late. Sometimes they will waive the late fee if you are a good customer who usually pays on time.

Each CC company is different. Amex, I am told, is pretty good about such things. Capital One on the other hand is the other extreme.
