i am talking about the lords that work in the government, they make decisions that affect all our lives, it is slavery that put them in their seats how about we get some slaves ancestors and put them in the lords seats instead.

as for combating modern slavery aren't we all just slaves of society anyway is anybody free from modern day life.
look at the new budget who suffers the most, it's those that are erning the least.

As the title infers few special favours now(you can but one on the open market) then it is a pretty irrelevant question.
Much more important is what are you doing to help defeat modern day slavery?
It's always somebody else's fault, that's how it starts in the first place.
Look to today and what we can do to change lives now, not to the past in some petty act of spite.

Now that would be fun. Taking away British titles if their ancestors had committed an evil act!!! Everyone would be kicked out of the house of lords...ha ha!! The English (especially) haven't got a very good human rights record.

Archer is still a lord. He could still go to parliament and vote on issues that could affect our lives, despite being a convicted ex-prisoner...
Lord Lucan, if he's still alive, is another who doesn't deserve the title.

I believe lords is old fashioned & everyone of them should go.
Concerning slavery think you would be hard pushed to find one that was not involved.
