I thought it was men, but after careful reconsideration, I think it's about equal.
If the man is in a committed relationship, then he is at fault because HE SHOULD KNOW BETTER. Usually, (but not always) he lies to the person he is cheating with and they have no idea of his situation. So he is the one to blame.

The new statistics say that 50% of men cheat and 40% of women cheat. That is TOO many cheaters in the world. Honest relationships are so rare these days!

The ratio is about 50/50. I have always believed that Divorce should be the easiest thing to get, but marriage should be the most difficult thing ti happen. Most people marry for the wrong reason. They are either too young and have not the vaguest notion of what fidelity, responsibility or love is all about. or it's all about raging hormones.

Husbands still cheat more but wives are catching up quickly.
Also if the husband is cheating with a single woman then she isn't cheating on anyone except herself

MEN....because they are weak
I speak of married men who cheat. They usually pick up a mistress who is single. (probably because if she was married and the husb found out, the cheating husb would get his balls kicked in).
And everytime I have heard of a case, and experienced it on my own, the man had a great wife. IT was HE who was psychologically sick. With absolutely no regard for his wife, her feelings, love, or companionship.
OH, and one more thing....for all those religious men (ANY RELIGION, including the clergymen) who cheat and think it is ok...Every major religion in the world says a man should be the head of the family and a guide for his wife. Hmmmmm....something to mull over, isn't it?

men - and no the person they are cheating with isn't "as" guilty, because she is not the one in the marriage, having broken vows and destroyed a marriage and family.

Latest stats show it's about equal.
Women are less likely to get caught.
Men tend to have more numerous affairs, women tend to have deeper, long-lasting love-type affairs.
