I have had a worse case than yours. Ever since I had my period, it doesn't follow the normal cycle. Most of the time, it doesn't come for 2-3 months and when it does,it doesn't stop for at least two weeks. Next, i didn't get it for more than half a year and i thought i was pregnant. Although that was stupid because i never had intercourse. So anyways, i went to my doctor and she tested me with severe hormonal imbalance. At first, she suspected that I might have cysts (ovarian or whatever). But she first gave me some tablets to take for a few months to see if my menstrual cycle doesn't gradually come to normal. Fortunately, it is boiling down to a normal one. I suggest that you go see your gynecologist and let her diagnose your condition. Whether it is your hormones, or other things, let her help you. By the way, infection might be a possible cause too. So you better go see a doctor quick to know what the real problem is. I also suggest that you keep records of the dates when your period started and ended and show it to your doctor for a more thorough diagnosis. Good luck!

I'm going through the same thing. I haven't had a period since last August. I know I'm not pregnant. I went to my doctor and told her. She sent me for a variety of blood tests to check different hormone levels and whether I'm going through an early menopause.

I suggest you see a doctor as soon as possible to find out what is going on, it could be a hormone imbalance or something else, but get to the doctor as soon as possible.

You need to see your dr to find out if you might have a hormone imbalance going on that could be causing this. Six months without a period is a sign of something wrong unless it is a teenager that is just starting out with their periods because of the body trying to adjust to the hormonal changes going on inside of it.

if you are definatly not pregnant then it could be a water infection. i didnt have a period in 8 months and couldnt sleep at night cause of bad stomach pains. it was all down to a water infection i had. also you periods may vary depending on your age and how long you have been on them. if you dont eat properly or you have a dodgy diet then this can effect you monthly cycle. ifyou havnt been to the doctors yet then i would go and get checked out incase its something seriouse. if you have a water infection for too long it could cause kidney failure you will be given anti biotics to get rid of the water infection.

Depends on your age, and also if you are too underweight then periods can stop. Contraceptive coils or the injection can alter periods too.
I'd advise going to the doctors and checking it out to be on the safe side.

there are many reasons why you may not be having your periods,

1. could be that you are very stressed out,
2. your body is changing, gaining weight/losing weight can affect your mestruation
3. Poly cystic ovaries, this can be rectified with the pill

there are many many reasons out there, but most importantly you should go and speak with your doctor.

Could be stress could be hormones could be anaemia. Sounds like a visit to your GP is in order. Or go see the nurse instead if you prefer.
