I just wanted everything to feel right for you.

Ok this is the main drift of what I am trying to say in one sentence. I just told my boyfriend I loved him and I wanted to say something to the effect of I just wanted everything to be right for him when I told him of my feelings for him. Please revise this sentence expressing that anyone with good writing or grammar skills thanks

want to express that I want everything to be feel right for him meaning I want us not to have rushed into it that it was very gradual in us starting to be in a relationship.
