Why is John Edwards still running (wife's cancer), when he has no shot of winning?

Amen to that, especially when he doesn't stand a chance to even get the nomination.
He should take my favorite quote to heart:
"At the end of your life, you will never regret not having passed one more test, not winning one more verdict or not closing one more deal. You will regret time not spent with a husband, a friend, a child, or a parent."

(Make that a wife in his case.)

I don't know if you have ever been in a crisis situation, but its well known that being focused on something other then, your crisis, is probably why this man is stay on task, plus his wife probably won't let him throw in the towel, and there may be other issues nobody knows. Cut the guy some slack, sounds like he needs it.

Because when you think you're the best person for the job in America, you throw your hat into the ring. What is best for his wife and family is their business, and I think they probably make decisions like this together.
