In my opinion, its harder now, since more things are already invented. What about you?

With meager resources and facilities it was definitely harder 100 years ago and whatever has been invented, it was definitely more vital to human life and invented as a necessity. But the present inventions are more for luxury and enjoyment and recreation rather than for basic human necessities.

The technology is so great NOW that many autocadd and computer programs do most of the work inventing with some lesser input... so whereas you are correct to a large degree the techno power actually increases the curve soooo...

I conclude it comes out at 50%-50%.

less to invent but more as well due to the massive increase in development tools!

i do believe history will show a tremendous opportunity exists today to help the human condition with new creations... not just iPods and self-indulgent vacuum robots like this... this silly thing gives one more time to indulge in other silly indulgences...
