Tell me first that from where you've done your 10+2?
Anyway still I can say something about the opportunities.
As I have done my Masters in Biochemistry from Calcutta University.
I have no such concrete idea about the undergraduate colleges that have Biotechnology Hons rather there are Biochemistry Hons especially in Calcutta. If you can complete your graduation in Biotech from outside Calcutta, like form South India you can sit for the IIT exam whereby you can complete your Masters and after that opt for either GRE or PhD from anywhere in the country.
In our university also there are only 10 seats for the meritorious students from Biotech background for M.Sc.
Anyway this subject is really flourishing nowadays and loads of best wishes for your bright upcoming future.

Hyderabad, approach Osmania University and Hyderabad Unversity for Biotechnologies - degree courses are there. If you want to do Engineering in Biotech - write Eamcet and score and then go for it. Now-a/day all Universities are having the degree course since this is latest global technology and everyone going for it.

Go to the IITs; I know IIT (Bombay) has a very good course in Bio tech Engg.
