Why did he retire right when the Twins were getting good again and where is he now? Why does him name not eveer come up for coachiing openings? You'd think he'd at least get mentioned having won 2 Wrold Series...

TK is alive and well, he shows up at the dome still often! He still does odd jobs for the Twins. He helps out in Spring Training, and even unofficially scouts I believe. I think he always marched to the beat of his own drum and just wanted to move on to something else in life. He did a very classy thing by getting the club back into good shape after some terrible years before passing it on to his friend Gardinhire. A lot of managers jump ship when times have hit bottom, but not TK! I think he is more passionate about player development than even winning in my opinion.
I think the main reason he is not mentioned for opening is that he is not interested in managing again right now and insiders probably know this. He is also pretty old and I think most teams would prefer a younger guy not as set in his ways. Plus, he's just pretty odd in general.
I would love love love to see him manage agin, but just don't see it...
