Would An Invasion of the United States Be Good for the Planet?

Question

Presuming scifi-hypothetically we (the rest of the planet) could somehow make their nuclear & ballistic missiles, warships, planes, etc. turn to jelly / be unusable, and that all the 200 nations of the world were united in doing this for the good of the American people and the people of the planet.

Each US state or territory (50+5) is to be invaded and occupied by one of the 50 biggest GDP countries of the world, eg China gets California; Japan or Russia gets Alaska; Germany gets NY; ... (and the non-top-50-GDP-countries form five partnerships that get one each too). Each of the 55 is at the end of occupation to become a unique and succinct COUNTRY with its own VERY different constitution.
The new countries are to be GOOD to the ENVIRONMENT; remove guns; reduce inequality; combat salescons; pay their UN fees; submit to a not-1-country-led world police; empower blacks, Hispanics &Ntv Ams to rule some states; give more to help the 3d world; not have a united team USA in sports;...

There is nothing wise about this question Kai.
By the way - given the saturation of personal firearms in the USA I don't think there is an army out there right now that would relish fighting 'old boys' in Rockies or Ozarks or where ever.

KAI talk about a screwed up thinking. 1st the US's consumption tows the world's economies. If the US didn't consume the other countries would go into a depression. With a depression less would be spent on the disposal of all waste.

A healthy economy is required for any liberal agenda.

It is also funny that you don't even talk about the most heavily armed per capita country have one of the longest neutrality periods & low crime rated.

Lastly IF there isn't found an economically viable replacement of fossil fuels as soon as 2050 we may have the economy of 1850. This spiral down ward will bring about massive civil unrested as the standard of living goes down. Cities will not be able to support their population! The Rich will not even have the toys the poor take for granted.

Start thinking solutions rather than trying to spread hate. What are you doing to create wealth in the world?

It would be suicidal for whoever would try to do that. First, any invasion fleet would be sunk enroute to the North American continent, but lets say they stage enough troops somewhere. There are enough troops with weapons that could fight for years. Then you are also not taking into account all the private firearms owned by people. You think the insurgency in Iraq is bad, check out resistance that could break out in America. It would make life so hard to the invaders they would want to go back home soon. Any foregin invader would fail miserable at trying to invade and hold the USA.

LOL i think it would be bad. if that happens then world war 3 will happen - the end of the world. What happens to America's population if this were to happen?
leaving them alive would surely cause unrest in every state. LOL but really it would probably mean a war map like in Europe before World War One, everyone fighting because they know that no on will use their nuclear arms for defence - because lets face it, the only way that America will be taking over is if they do not fight back, and do not fight back with their nuclear war heads....

dont think an actual land invasion would work as theyre too many hicks with private armies, think rambo. most of these states are big enough to be their own countries remember. besides dividing up a country to give control to another doesnt work look at what happened to east and west germany, and north and south korea. best thing is civil war get the democrats to destroy the republicans, brother against brother or something like that.

It sure would but it would quite go the way you're suggesting...

*First many countries would come to their senses and realize that todays modern world runs on cooperation of many many countries and invading the US would jack it all up on a scale not yet seen.
*The remaining countries, pigheaded for whatever reason would suffer massive losses just coming over to the USA because there is no way to turn our defenses into jelly.
*Any remaining combatants would be sewpt away in the biggest hail of gunfire ever seen by the millions of gun owners here just itching for a reason to justify the right to bear arms.
*Now the US has to go around and punish all those countries who actively or passively took part in this ridiculous scheme and way too many innocents would have to suffer.
*People will debate the whole thing for millenia to come on Yahoo! Answers enabling many to reach the coveted Level 7.

As far as your other ideas are concerned, why do you think it would be an improvement to replace American power with Russian or Chinese. Neither of those countries has a good track record as far a democracy or human rights is concerned. Have you really thought your ideas through?

Why would you want to kill millions of innocent Americans and people from 264 other countries around the world?

The USA may have got it badly wrong in the 'solution' department but the use of terrorism in an attempt to destroy the current world order is real, contrary to popular myth this is not for your benefit, but is another group of people seeking power for their own agenda's and ideology.

The current situation with the UN and other world bodies has deteriorated to one of almost blatant corruption but violent change is not the way to defeat this for the better.

You would have to kill each and every American in order to conquer the USA. Unlike any other country on the planet, Americans feel their country and their ideals are worth defending to the death.
Besides, America is a fortress. Even the combined forces of the world couldn't take the USA over by military force.

I guess you are assuming China with all it's civil rights and human rights violations would turn around and treat all the California Blacks and Hispanics better than they are being treated?
