It is really up to her to tell the truth-but as her friend, I strongly encourage you to encourage HER to do that. Especially before the baby is born to save the baby the confusion. Yeah, her boyfriend may leave her, but then again, maybe he won't. If he does, y'all will definately need to be there for her. Hopefully, she learned her lesson.

I would talk to her mom and tell her what has happened and ask her to talk to her daughter. Depending on her age, if the Textmate is the father for real and he is over the age of consent he will face jail time. What she is exhibiting is confusion, fear and anger and mixed emotions can make anyone sound nuts. Don't abandon her but rather love her and support her. Sounds like a very confused young lady. This is an emotional time for her. Stand by her and God Bless.

Listen, i hate to say this but it really is ONLY her concern and the fathers concern. Frankly, I doubt any of you will know who the father is until the child is born and only IF they decide to do a paternity test.

Your friend is terrified and needs support, so leave her to her vices and help her get through this pregnancy as best you can.

well, this happened to someone we knew in high school but the real father was her stepfather. The bottom line is that if she has lied, there is no telling who the real father is - better tell her mother or a teacher so that something bad doesnt happen.

you're feeling irritated ! Imagine how she feels - possibly very confused and unsure what to do - so try to be a bit more understanding and remember who the father is really isn't your concern

Tell her to tell you the truth and tell the guy who thinks he's the father.
