Great question... simple to ask but so extraordinary to contemplate... my Star!

'Where' am 'I' is not a valid question in the sense that 'I' is metaphysical self that owns and controls the body, mind and soul..... it does not need space or location to exist. Hence it can not be located anywhere.

'I' does not have a physical presence...... its state of being manifests in our individual perceptions, reflections, intentions and inclinations, which put together in totality create the distinct identity of self or 'I'.

No one can locate the I by looking within, since I only exist as the sum of that which can perceive I. As with the Blind men trying to discribe an elephant; all were correct, in so much as, what they could perceive and they were all wrong since none of them could decribe the elephant as a whole.

Is quite impressive what can be learnt from our friend "small"....

I believe in what he is saying... he is giving out almost the exact definitions of each and every part of your question...

And yes... you can not locate the "I", because it isn't matter... it is all that defines you.... your uniqueness in a sense...

From your physica body, which is the only material think about you... to your experince, way of thinking, etc...

The "I" emcompasses all that means being you...

Hope that helps!

I am not a name, not my body, not my spirit, not my suroundings, I am You.
If I can achieve oneness with you, its salvation.
