My friend in another country is chatting me to say he hasn't been able to open his MSN Hotmail fora week now. I have asked him to check a few things which might help him. Has anyone else got any helpful information please?

Depending on which country is your friend in, some countries have Hotmail blocked.
Can they use Yahoo mail for example ? can you login to their account yourself to make sure it is not their account that has the problem ?
It could also be the location your friend is in is using a firewall to block certain URLs to reduce internet traffic, not all countries have unlimited Internet policies.

Yikes! I have been provided that too from 6 of my acquaintances in my msn touch record. once I clicked it, it began downloading. And while i attempted commencing it, my anti-virus test warned me that's replaced right into a deadly disease. I freaked out and deleted it previously it replaced into too previous due. it is what the virus is doing.... it rather is going to open anybody's e mail and typed "ahahah is this you (hyperlink)" repeatedly lower back. So, it may get your people to click the hyperlink. regrettably, you have no administration of it. i don't know how long it rather is going to final, yet attempt those innovations: *deleting the record *changing all your passwords (msn, yahoo, facebook, youtube, etc.) *sign off any web content you're using *test your pc *fix your pc *remind your people desire that facilitates!

Hotmail can be extremely slow at times, but usually opens eventually.

if he has not been using it for sertian amont of time then it dose not work and u need a new one
