Why don't you cook him a special meal and a card saying happy anniversary, or the two of you can visit the place that you first met or where you had your first proper date

On a serious note though....something simple with a lot of meaning. e.g. Sit and write down all the things you have been through. Make up a little poem or essay or just a record of what you have done BUT make sure you note exactly what HE did to help you through it and WHY you appreciate his still being there for you. Tell him how you will always be there for him too. You can add pictures from the Internet, magazines or your own drawings too!!
I did one of these for my partner when he had to be away on our first anniversary. I bought stickers of girls in poses....chopped off their heads and put on my head to match from old photo's. It was just a bit of silliness to amuse him really.............. I talked to him in the letter as if he were there in front of me reminding him of all the things we had done and all the things I had forgotten to say! He loved it!!! Read it the whole week he was away over and over.
The point is it DOESN'T have to be an expensive gift but just one from the heart!!!

Maybe it is a little corny, but I got my boyfriend an album made with our pictures (pics from different times and meanings) with a little explanation on how those times built our relationship and how meaningful and important were each everyone of them and at the end leave some pages empty and attach a pen and say something like these pages are to us to write whatever is coming because you feel that you will have many many more moments to remember together in the future. Of course, you can plan a special night with him so you can give him your present.

well it depends by how old u r. if ur young, (13-18) you should just give him some colone and kiss, but if ur older,(19-30) you should give him a neclace with ur names engraved in it. mainly because im a guy, i think all guys must try to impress the girl they with, not the other way. if he really likes you, he might take u to a romantic dinner, and a walk on the beach.
