I mostly like classic country, but if you're looking for modern country, I would recommend anything by Keith Urban and Alison Krauss.

If you're interested in classic country, try Hank Williams, George Jones, Keith Whitley and Hank Williams, Jr.

HUGE Gretchen Wilson fan here, she's country but can really rock out (anyone hear her cover songs by Heart?)

I guess it depends on what you like. In my opinion, the newer artists like Miranda Lambert, The Wreckers, Jason Aldean, Little Big Town, are all great as well as some of the more established traditional country artists like Trace Adkins, Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney...

Check out music channels GAC and CMT, that will give you a great idea of what's "hot" now

I've seen Clay Walker 8 times in concert, so I would recommend him! Alan Jackson, Trace Adkins, Tracy Bird, John Michael Montgomery, Dixie Chicks, Shedaisy, Patty Loveless, Lonestar, Gretchen Wilson and Hank Williams Jr... There are so many good ones out there. Check out a few of them. I'm sure you'll find some that you like!

Country music of today, and going back to the 90s has been a real influence on me and has served as quite a healer.

Artists i recommend if you want both uptempo and meaningful ballads/melodies are as follows:-

Toby keith, keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Martina McBride, Tim Mcgraw, Alan Jackson...to name but a few.

These are only my opinions/choices. I appreciate everyone has their own tastes but it is nice to see i share a musical interest.

Keep strong.

Stay very far away from todays country music. It is mostly noise. Go back at least twenty years and enjoy it as it should be sang.

"real usa song" comes from usa people sangin and writin songs from their coronary heart. as an occasion: George Jones, Waylon, Haggard, Coe, Jamey Johnson, Loretta Lynn, Hank Williams; those people had memories to tell, and that they could make you experience such as you the place dwelling that tale as they sang it.
